When everyone has their own local copy, TogetherPlay sends only small synchronization messages — play, pause, position — plus chat. The video or song itself isn't streamed. It still uses some internet data, just far less than streaming.
TogetherPlay doesn't provide a movie or music catalogue. Files you choose stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. In Listen Together you can choose to send a track directly to someone in your room, encrypted, browser to browser. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you play or share.
